What Does It Mean to Be an American?
This book introduces students to the essence of American identity — our many freedoms, beliefs in equality, and the pursuit of happiness. It opens conversations about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, civic engagement, and what it means to belong to a diverse, united nation. Suitable for all ages K–12 with guided discussion questions for each grade band.
Important Dates & Registration
Craft Request Deadline: Friday, April 19, 2026. Teachers will be contacted directly for wooden star drop-off arrangements. The completed mosaic will be displayed at the Spring Family Festival on Saturday, May 2nd at Clark Botanic Garden, Albertson (12pm–5pm), with selected stars recognized at the event.
